Yellow House Gallery is a contemporary art gallery and custom framing shop in the Upper Beaches area of Toronto. Nestled in the heart of Kingston Road Village, we offer framing options for all works, and specialize in archival and gallery standard framing.
We showcase local, regional and international emerging artists, and focus on quality original works and limited edition prints.
About your Director
Yellow House is owned and operated by Christina Kostoff. Christina has years of experience in custom archival framing, working for some of the top shops and galleries in Toronto. She is an alumna of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned her MFA in 2013. She studied sculpture and installation art at The Ontario College of Art and Design where she received her BFA in 2009.
During her studies in Chicago, Christina developed her studio practice as well as studying art history. Within the local Chicago scene, Christina began curating screenings and exhibitions showcasing artists working in all media.
Christina is elated to be opening Yellow House Gallery, borrowing it’s namesake from the historic Yellow House, a studio founded by Vincent Van Gogh at the turn of the 20th century. In this house, Van Gogh and other artists such as Paul Gaugin hashed out some pretty modern ideas concerning the art of their time.

In honor of the original Yellow House, our gallery aims to carry on the tradition of fostering a supportive space for new and exploratory practices. We are looking forward to meeting artists working in all media, and connecting them with those who support and collect contemporary art.
